During 11-13 December 2009 we are converting our building to depict the Christmas journey, complete with deserts, oases, a palace, a village and of course live animals. Experience the hardships, the questioning, the joy and the beauty. And true to the story of the first Christmas there are Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus and the angels, shepherds and wise men.

Children and families can interact with the animals (a miniature horse, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and a rabbit) and experience the setting as it would have been at the time of Jesus' birth. You can have your photos taken in shepherd and angel costumes in the stable scene with real characters.

The church building is also magnificently decorated as part of the Hutt City Christmas Lights Spectacular. Inside visitors can grab a free coffee and sample some eastern delights, as part of their journey at the Oasis Inn.

In a surprising journey through ancient Israel visitors can have a go at various craft activities, hear stories, and experience what life might have been like "on the road". This journey is one which changed the world forever. Far away from tinselled trees and crowded malls, this is an event no one should miss!
